Not every wet basement needs a full system. A leak at one pipe, one window or one corner can often be traced and sealed on its own.
Tracing the leak first
Water travels before it shows. A puddle in the middle of the floor can start at a crack ten feet away. We dry the area, take moisture readings along the wall and floor, and look for tide lines, efflorescence and rust trails that show the path. Outside, we check the grade, downspouts and window wells above the wet spot.

When a spot repair is not enough
If the moisture readings show the whole wall is wet, or water appears at several places after every long rain, a patch will just move the leak. We say so on the inspection and price the system that fits, alongside the spot repair, so the choice is yours.

Common questions
Why does it only leak after big storms?
Clay soil takes a long rain to saturate. Once it does, pressure builds against the wall and finds the weakest point. Short showers never get the soil that wet.
Can I seal it myself with paint?
Sealer paint works on light dampness from condensation. On water pushed through by soil pressure it usually blisters and peels within a season.
